The hood showed up with barely any protection in the box... the corners weren’t padded well at all, and one side had a crack in it. For a carbon fiber part, I expected much better packaging. Now I’m stuck taking pictures and dealing with a claim, which is just frustrating...

"Good deal for what I paid"
I checked a few other sites first because I didn’t want to overpay, and this was one of the better prices I found. The hood feels solid for the money, so I’m happy with what I ended up getting. Shipping could’ve been faster, which was a little annoying for me, but overall I feel like I came out okay on this purchase

"Clear coat was a letdown"
I was disappointed with the clear coat finish. It came out looking hazy in spots and uneven overall. Not the clean, glossy finish I was hoping for.

The hood showed up with one corner chipped, and the box looked like it had been tossed around good. I sent photos the same day thinking it would be straightforward, but the claim process ended up dragging on way longer than I expected.
They kept asking me for more pictures and details I’m sure I had already sent, which made the whole thing frustrating. I kind of got the feeling they were trying to wear me down so I’d just drop it, though I can’t prove that. The product might be fine if it arrives in one piece, but dealing with a damage claim was a pain.

"Not a great first impression"
My first impression wasn’t great. The weave looked uneven right away, and it made the whole thing feel a bit sloppy. I was hoping it would look more consistent, but it just didn’t come across that way.

"Fitment was a whole little drama on my hood"
Ordered a carbon hood for my car and shipping was fine, so I thought we were off to a decent start. Then I went to actually put it on and the fitment turned into Captain Crooked real quick.
The gaps on both sides were uneven, and the latch was doing its best impression of Mr. Not-My-Job. It wouldn’t line up right without a ton of adjusting, and I ended up taking it to a body shop just to get it to close somewhat properly.
For what it cost, I really expected it to be a lot closer out of the box. It looks good now, but getting there was way more of a project than it should’ve been.

"Website made everything harder than it needed to be"
I was just trying to find a hood for my car, but using the website got frustrating fast. Pages were slow to load, the filters didn’t really narrow things down in a helpful way, and I kept bouncing around just to find basic details.
Some of the product pages felt cluttered, and I couldn’t easily tell what was actually in stock or what would fit my car. The whole experience made me feel less like a customer and more like a ticket number getting pushed through a clunky system, so I eventually gave up.

"Availability was totally misleading"
The site showed the hood was in stock, so I went ahead and ordered it. Then after the order was placed, they told me it was actually backordered. that’s ridiculous. I ended up waiting around for nothing and eventually had to cancel.
"Great mystery novel, terrible order updates"
I placed my order and then basically entered a communication black hole. I had to keep asking what was going on because apparently updates are a luxury now. When I did get replies, they were slow and not exactly packed with useful information. Super frustrating experience overall...

"Got the right hood without any hassle"
I ordered a carbon hood for my Civic and it showed up exactly like the one I picked out. The fitment matched what was listed too, so no problems there. Tracking took a little longer to come through, but the order itself was accurate. Overall, solid experience and I’d casually recommend them. 4 stars from me.

"Shipping dragged on and nobody took responsibility"
I ordered a hood and the shipping took way longer than expected. I kept checking the tracking and it just sat there for days with barely any updates. What made it more frustrating was that nobody really seemed to take ownership of the issue or give a clear answer on what was going on. The part might be fine, but the whole waiting game kind of ruined the experience for me. I wouldn’t order again if I needed something quickly.

"Pretty good for what it is"
The hood actually looks better than I expected, which was a nice surprise. Fitment was okay, not perfect, but decent enough if you’re not too picky. It has a few little flaws, but overall it gets the job done and looks good on the car.

"Install was more frustrating than it should’ve been"
The hood looks decent now that it’s up, but getting it installed was a lot more of a headache than I expected. The holes didn’t line up very well, so I had to keep loosening things and adjusting it over and over. It felt like it wasn’t checked very carefully before being sent out. It’s not the worst product, but for the price, I expected the install to go a lot smoother...

"Returning this hood turned into a whole saga"
I ordered a hood from carbonfiberhoods.com thinking it would be a simple upgrade, but the moment it showed up with some small fitment issues, the whole thing started feeling like the beginning of a mini disaster movie. Nothing was completely outrageous, but trying to figure out the return process was way more confusing and slow than I expected.
The refund also dragged on longer than they originally said, and I ended up having to send more than one email just to keep things moving. It wasn’t the worst customer service nightmare of all time, but it definitely wasn’t smooth either. For something that should’ve been straightforward, it felt like way too much effort.
